Ingredients:
- 2 cups tamarind pulp
- 1 cup jaggery
- 1 tsp mustard seeds
- 1 tsp urad dal
- 1 tsp chana dal
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions:
- In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, cumin seeds and fry until they turn golden brown.
- Add tamarind pulp, jaggery, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt to taste. Mix well.
- Allow the mixture to boil for about 10-15 minutes on medium flame or until the tamarind and jaggery are well combined.
- Once the mixture thickens, turn off the heat and allow it to cool down.
